By visiting or using senet.plyyard.com, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. They cover AI play, two people on one device, online rooms, PWA installation, and the site's related content. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
What the service is
This site provides a free browser Senet board for personal practice, teaching the rules, same-device play, and temporary online rooms. It does not provide rank certification, prize tournaments, guaranteed fair competitive adjudication, or skill-based automatic matchmaking.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may correct the rules implementation; adjust AI search, the interface, storage, room capacity, or expiry; or pause some features. We do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted, entirely error-free, or suitable for every device and network.
What you may and may not do
- You may use the board in the ordinary way for personal, family, or teaching purposes, share room links, and link to public pages on this site.
- Do not harass other players, impersonate a seat, disrupt a game, occupy public rooms abusively, or misuse spectator and reconnect features.
- Do not bypass connection-rate, room-capacity, permission, or security limits, and do not use automation to create rooms, retrieve content, or send requests in bulk.
- Do not try to access other rooms, server data, or system functions without authorization, and do not distribute malicious code or test attack traffic.
- You must have the right to share any text, screenshots, or attachments you send, and you must leave out unnecessary personal data about other people.
The rules this site uses
This site uses a Kendall-family reconstruction of Senet: Black throws first, four throwing sticks score 1 to 5 (all blank counts as 5), and the first player to get all five pieces off on an exact count wins. See Senet rules for the complete legal moves and win conditions.
How AI, pass-and-play, and rooms differ
- Against AI: Hints, undo, and move-by-move replay are available. Local data can be lost when site data is cleared.
- Pass and play: Undo and move-by-move replay are available. Neither side gets hints. Local data can be lost when site data is cleared.
- Online rooms: The room service validates and syncs legal moves. There are no hints or one-sided undo. Players may resign or offer a draw.
- Public and private: Any visitor may join a public room. A private room relies on its link or room code to limit entry, and anyone holding that credential may still try to enter.
- Drops and expiry: A dropped network, the same seat reconnecting elsewhere, the host closing the room, or a timeout may end the current connection.
AI and hints
AI moves and hints come from a time-limited search in the browser. Results may vary with the level, device performance, and search limit, and they may not be theoretically best. They are for practice and comparison, not a teaching result, a rating, or a tournament ruling.
Content and intellectual property
The page design, original writing, brand marks, image assets, and software implementation belong to Ply Yard or the relevant rights holders. These terms do not make the reconstructed rules of Senet proprietary to this site. You may not copy the complete interface without permission, mirror the service, remove its source branding, or present a misleading copy in this site’s name.
Availability, data, and liability
You are responsible for saving any record or screenshot you need to keep long term. The site does not promise to keep local games, room state, or reclaimable seats forever, and it does not promise that hints, AI moves, spectator state, and connections will be fully available in every situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ply Yard is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from service interruption, data loss, device performance, network failure, room closure, third-party entry, or reliance on AI suggestions. Liability that cannot legally be excluded is not limited by this paragraph.
Room links and your responsibility
Private rooms have no account-based approval. The complete link or room code is the access information. Share it only with the people you mean to play, and do not expose it in public posts, live streams, or unredacted screenshots. In a public room, expect unknown visitors to join or watch.
See the privacy policy for how local storage, room sync, and technical requests are handled.
Enforcement and changes
To protect the service and other players, we may reject requests, restrict connections, close rooms, or block obvious abuse. We may update these terms when features or legal requirements change. A published revision applies to later visits and use.
